Adventure Plus

Adventure Plus is a new adventure based programme designed specifically to meet the mental, physical, spiritual and social needs of children and youth.  This is done through weekly meetings, an awards programme and challenging indoor and outdoor activities that allow children to develop courage and a sense of adventure and achievement.

Meeting Times

7:00pm to 9:00pm every Friday night during school terms at the Tivoli Miracle Centre, 50 Coal St, CHUWAR

Who can join?

Currently all boys and girls from Prep to Year 5 at school can join.  We are planning on opening older age groups in the future.

For boys and girls in Prep to Year 2 in school, being an Explorer means a lot of fun through games, crafts, Bible stories and what they mean to us today.  They will also learn life skills such as contacting emergency services and why we need to obey the rules of the home.  This age group also has opportunity to go on small bush walks and learn how to take care of nature.

The children also have an opportunity to earn awards on a number of different topics including Sport, Safety, and Helping Others.

For boys and girls in Years 3 to 5 at school, being in Discovery means discovering basic skills in first aid, teamwork, leadership, astronomy and a whole lot more.  Each week there will be exciting games and activities that will help develop each child and enable them to make new friends.

The children will also have scheduled activities such as bush walks, easy mountain climbs and have opportunity to go camping once a term.

How much does it cost?

 For just $40 for the annual membership fee, your child will be recognised as a member of Adventure Plus Australia.  A term fee of $20 per person (discounts for families of 3 or more) also applies.
